Friday Night Knitting
Fridays, 5-8pm.
Enjoy an evening with friends and knitting (and maybe a little shopping).
 
Hatitude!
Saturdays, 2pm - 4pm.
Share and try new hat patterns and techniques. Limited staff support available.
 
Socks Knit
Mondays, 1pm-3pm.
Join other sock knitters from beginners to advanced as we help each other through the joys and trevails of sock knitting. Limited staff support available.
 
Spinning
2nd and 4th Tues., 10am-12pm.
Meet a local group of spinners and watch them do their magic.
 
Women's Writing Group
3rd Tuesdays, 10am-12pm.
Ever want to write that novel or story, but its hard to do it on your own? Come join a supportive group of aspiring women writers to get it down on the page!
 
Book Club
Thursday, Feb. 23rd, 7-9pm.
First meeting EVER of a brand new book club. Contact the store for directions and book information.
 
Knit for Good
Wednesdays, Noon to 3pm.
Join other knitters making "chemo caps" for the Emmanuel cancer center. (Note: Finished objects are accepted at any time, but charity knitters gather once a week at this time.)
 
Project of the Month Knit-a-Long (KAL)
Wednesdays, 3-5pm.
Join other knitters working on January's Project of the Month (POM). Staff help available as well. January Project: Shawl Collared Vest. (bring completed POM and get 25% coupon for future purchase!)
 
Purl Away the Pounds
Thursdays, 12pm-1pm.
Come talk about weight loss and knitting! No matter what weight loss program you follow, you can come for support, weigh in, and accountability.
 
Saturday, Feb. 25th, 8am-8pm
Meet at the store at 8am to share rides with other yarnies to Stitches West at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The MARKET is open from 10-6. Pre-purchase your ticket online. Oscar’s Party
Sunday, Feb. 26th, 5-10pm
The rare opportunity to shop, knit, and party at the store on a Sunday! We will open at 5pm and stay open until the end of the Academy Awards. Bring snacks to share and your lineup of expected winners! Prizes will abound!

Learn to Knit ($10)
Saturdays, 11am.
This intro class teaches knit, purl, cast on and bind off. Most students take it a few times to master the knitting basics.
 
Tuesday Night Drop In ($15)
Every Tuesday, 6-7:30pm.
Any project. Any skill level. Bring whatever you are working on - or hoping to learn - in and we'll help you through it, or do our very best!
 
Encore Order Day: Feb. 16th.  
If you are chomping at the bit for some Plymouth Encore... make sure your color choice is included in an order placed TODAY. This is not a regularly stocked yarn - so think ahead to what you may need.

Continental Knitting ($15)

Learn the basics of continental knitting. Choose a project that is not too challenging for you but includes both knit and purl - and commit to using ONLY the continental method.
 
Beyond the Basics: Reading Your Knitting ($15)
Saturday, Feb. 11th, 3-4:30pm
This is part of the ongoing Beyond the Basics Series. Just looking at your knitting can tell you what stitch to make next or how to fix a mistake. But first, you have to learn what you are looking at!
 
My First Socks ($25)
Saturday, Feb. 25th, 1-3:30pm
Learn to make your first pair of socks! We will make a child's size sock out of worsted weigh yarn to allow most students to work through the challenges of casting on, turning the heel and an introduction to kichener stitch.
 
Block of the Month: Fair Isle ($20)
Saturday, Feb. 11th, 1-3pm
Fair Isle - with a STEEK even!  Knit in the round and learn this awesome technique that is regaining popularity.
 
Beyond the Basics: Casting on and Binding Off ($15)
Saturday, Feb. 25th, 3-4:30pm
Moving along in the Beyond the Basics Series. There is more than one way to cast on and to bind off. There are reasons to choose one method over another. Who knew?
